Karni Sena Supporter Surajpal Amu Called NewsX’s Anchor Sanjana Chowhan “Baby”. She Gave A Cracking Reply

It can be easily said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ is one of the most controversial Hindi movies ever. Right from the days of its shooting to now when it is finally in theatres, protests and controversies have not stopped. In fact, with every passing day, the intensity of protests has only increased.

The organisations that are against the movie and its content, recently, attacked a school bus and terrorised kids who were going back home along with their teachers and school staff.

This incident triggered a nationwide anger against the protestors, and media got united in targeting and asking tough questions from their leaders i.e. Karni Sena, and also the state governments who aren’t taking strong actions against them.

We have also been hearing and reading many stories of Karni Sena and their allies vandalising public properties, malls and theatres and showing their protest against the release of ‘Padmaavat’. And keep wondering what would they gain by destroying the property?

While on one hand, Karni Sena is “protesting” to protect the pride of their Rani Padmavati and on the other hand, one of their own friends called a female news anchor on NewsX channel “baby” and insulted her.

Sanjana Chowhan of NewsX, who was debating with Surajpal Amu, blasted him for calling her “baby”. She also added that these people don’t have any respect for women and asked for an apology.

But Surjpal Amu refused to apologise and took his mic off and went off from the screen. This clearly shows that he was unhappy with the way Sanjana Chowhan pointed his “cool” language and brought him down.

Following the episode, Surajpal Amu said, “A daughter is also called a baby and an infant is also called a baby. So what is wrong if I considered her a ‘beti’ and called her so”.

Surajpal Amu is the same supporter who has earlier threatened to chop off Deepika Padukone’s nose during the Padmaavat controversy.
