The first day of the month usually brings cheer to people as they get their paycheques. But this first day of February started with great anxiety as the Union Budget 2018 was to be announced. Everyone was curious to know what Arun Jaitely’s briefcase carries for them.

As the honorable Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley unleashed the fourth union budget of his government, the middle class started to drench in disappointments. The budget did hit the middle class badly and they feel pained. But even when in pain, people managed to make hilarious (painful yet hilarious) jokes about the Union budget 2018.
MIDDLE CLASS LEFT HIGH AND DRY
Mobile phones and TVs will now get costlier as the customs duties see a hike. Also, a 10% social welfare surcharge has been imposed on imported goods. The education cess has been increased from 3% to 4%. The Indian middle class has nothing to celebrate.
These Twitter jokes which hilariously present the middle class’ plight are too hilarious. THE MIDDLE CLASS HAS BEEN LEFT HIGH AND DRY! The middle class feels they have been ignored in the budget rather life has only become tougher for them ever since the Union Budget 2018 has been announced by the finance minister.
Here are the painfully hilarious Tweets in response to the budget
