Watch: Prithvi Shaw Handing Over The WC Trophy To Rahul Dravid Is The ‘Moment Of The Day’


With a comfortable eight-wicket win, India won the title of Under-19 World Cup by beating Australia in the big finals. India has lift the World Cupe trophy for the record-breaking fourth time.


Indian players gave a stunning performance throughout the tournament and won rspect and love of millions of people but what stole our hearts was the great gesture of the Under-19 squad.

The sweet gesture of the Indian players and the captain of Under-19 team stole the show and our hearts too!

The Under-19 players dedicated their win and handed their trophy to Rahul Dravid aka the wall of Indian Cricket Team. Also, Rahul Dravid became the official partner of the World Cup’s winning side for the first time.

Undoubtedly, the credit of this incredible victory goes  to Rahul Dravid. He trained the boys to the top level so that our players could present a different level of game altogether as compared to any other team playing in the tournament. Rahul Dravid sharped the minds of Under-19 squad.

Our players made it big as well, they overcame all the expectation of Rahul Dravid by giving a brilliant display throughout the tournament, they outsmarted the oppositions easily.

What happened in the match?

Before the match begin, India lost the toss to Australians who chose to bat first. Indian bowlers stole all the limelight once again by givingg their best performance. Indian players pushed out the Australians for a bare score of 216 runs.

Jonathan Merlo, of the Australian Cricket Team was the only one in the batting line up who knocked some hits and managed to score 76 runs.

In the bowling line-up of Indian cricket team, Ishan Porel, Anukul Roy, Nagarkoti, and Shivam were successful in grabbing a couple of wickets while Shivam Mavi grabbed all the attention by taking many wickets. No doubt he is the star in the making.

It was India’s turn to bat now, Prithvi Shaw and Manjot Kalra were the openers who showed a brilliant display by performing a 71-run partnership. Prithvi Shaw, the skipper of U-19 Cricket Team of Indian Team, became the opening wicket after gaining 29 runs. Shubman Gill throughout the tournament entertained the fans and on this match he knocked a quick 31.

Manjot Kalra was the next to bat and he was at his best, he knocked some serious hits and scored 101*, hands-down this man pulled the Indian cricket team to the victory land.
