Fans of Amitabh Bachchan are in love with his microblogs and the way he interacts with his tweeps but sadly when Twitter reduced his followers, it really irked him. Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to share his disappointment. Here’s what he Tweeted:
T 2599 – TWITTER ..!!!?? you reduced my number of followers .. !!??HAHAHAHAHAHAHA .. !! thats a joke .. time to get off from you .. thank you for the ride .. ???????????? .. there are many 'other' fish in the sea – and a lot more exciting !! pic.twitter.com/85c15pDif4

The Tweet read:

Yes, you read that right. Amitabh Bachchan is leaving Twitter. Twitter decreased more than a million followers of Amitabh Bachchan which eventually benefited Shah Rukh Khan who has now become the most followed celebrity of Bollywood on Twitter.
Now, the follower count of Amitabh Bachchan is 32,094,940 and Shah Rukh Khan is 32,945,003.
Although, if reports are to be believed than the reduction of followers is because of the clean up or removal of fake accounts from Twitter. A report from New York times says:
“More than a million followers have disappeared from the accounts of dozens of prominent Twitter users in recent days as the company faces growing criticism over the proliferation of fake accounts and scrutiny from federal and state inquiries into the shadowy firms that sell fake followers. The people losing followers include an array of entertainers, entrepreneurs, athletes and media figures, many of whom bought Twitter followers or artificial engagement from a company called Devumi.”
Well, whatever the reason was, we don’t want Amitabh Bachchan to leave Twitter. It will be really disheartening for his fans who love his tweets.
