There are various things that people tend to do to attract the attention of other people. This list includes a number of car owners as well, who have gone that extra mile to attract the attention of people and at times the attraction of the car companies as well. In the following lines, we will have a look at a few such car owners who did the unthinkable just to make their cars famous, or infamous, for that matter.
KS Balagopal, a Thiruvananthapuram-based businessman, paid a staggering amount of Rs. 31 lakhs to make sure that he gets his desired number plate on his vehicle. He bought a Porsche 718 Boxster convertible sports car, which is one of the costliest cars in the world. However, what he did for his number plate was the most interesting thing in this case.
He paid 30 lakhs along with an additional 1 lakh for the number that he bought at an auction by the RTO. The number plate reads KL. 07. TC. 168. 2016.
The next incident involves the owner of an SUV in Rajasthan, who used donkey branding to defame the brand. He put up posters that read, “This car is a donkey vehicle” and “It’s an animal thing” around his car to make sure that people had sight of the whole thing. Reports say that the owner of the car had an issue with the clutch and no one from the dealership did anything to solve his problem. As a result, he thought of insulting the car brand this way.
He also made sure that the car, which is recognised as MG Hector, got pulled by a donkey right in front of the dealership. We are not sure whether he got his problem solved or not, but this was one of the most unique insults that have been sighted in a long time.
