Virat Kohli took the charge of captaincy when MS Dhoni announced his decision from retiring from the captaincy in January 2017 and since then Virat Kohli has been doing the job wonderfully. Lately, Virat Kohli has been giving some of the best performances of his career. In the just concluded first of the five match series, Virat Kohli went on to score 200 runs. He gave a power packed performance and made the ball reach on all the corners of the ground.

Earlier this week, Virat Kohli was ranked as number one batsmen in the world in the ICC rankings. Virat Kohli became the seventh India batsman and first after Sachin Tendulkar in June 2011, to top the rankings.

Recently, in an interview MS Dhoni was all praises for Virat Kohli. Talking about Virat Kohli’s performances he said that he is very close to earn the legend status and he also went on to praise the leadership qualities of Virat Kohli. He said :

“Virat is the best. He has reached a status where he is close to legend status. I am very happy for him. The way he has batted everywhere and the last few years he has been brilliant taking the team forward. That’s what you want from a leader. All the best to him and very well done,”

MS Dhoni believes that Indian cricket team are going to return back with a bang in the second match of the five match series, after loosing the first one. He said :

“To win a Test match you need 20 wickets. And we did that. That’s all I will say. It doesn’t matter how well you bat and how well you are there for five days but if you take 20 wickets, you can win a Test match,”

Well, we are sure that Indian cricket team will return back with more power.
