Cold wars is not a new thing in the film industry, these war of words continue in between Bollywood celebrities.
Since a past few months, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat was making headlines because of heavy violent protests from Karni Sena to ban the movie. They tried their best to stop the audience from watching the movie but Padmaavat crossed all the hurdles in it’s way.
The movie has been doing great in the Box office and is receiving a lot of appreciation from both the critics and the audience. The director of Padmaavat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the leading actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor have been receiving a lot of appreciation for the roles done by the actors.
Everyone has loved the story and the war scenes in the movie between Khilji and Maharaja Ratan Singh but you might now be aware of the cold wars going on between Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Recently in an interview, Ranveer singh accepted that he regrets saying in the past that he would have done the role played by Shahid Kapoor in Kaminey better than Shahid.
“I think in my first year I was very arrogant. In retrospect, that is not something I should have said. I regret saying that (I could have done Kaminey better than Shahid Kapoor).”
Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor have shared the screen space for the first time in Padmaavat. Both of them are gaining immense appreciation for performing their characters.
After Padmaavat released, Shahid Kapoor was also asked in an interview whether he would like to play the role of Khilji, to which he replied:
“Of course. Which actor would not wish to play a character like Khilji in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film? You know, once on ‘Koffee with Karan’, Ranveer said he would have done my role in ‘Kaminey’ better than me… I would have done Khilji differently.”
When Ranveer Singh was asked to comment on the above statement said by Shahid Kapoor, he said:
“What’s wrong in saying that, it’s stating the obvious. Every actor brings something unique to the table, so every actor will approach a part in his or her own way.”
Well, both of them did justice to their respective roles and we loved both of them. We wish that this war of words, ends here and doesn’t continue.
