After Jaya Bachchan criticized Ravi Kishan in the parliament recently for maligning the image of the Bollywood industry, an old picture of Amitabh Bachchan went viral on social media where he could be seen shaking hands with someone.
That person was claimed to be the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and it was being said that the reason why Jaya Bachchan lost her cool in the parliament was because her family had connections with such people.
Shame on Amitabh Bachhan.! 😡😡 pic.twitter.com/wNeUvpAKIw

However, Amitabh’s son Abhishek Bachchan was quick to clear the air as he wrote on twitter that the picture that was going viral was actually of Amitabh and the former Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Shankarrao Chavan.
Once Abhishek clarified it, people stopped criticizing Amitabh and the viral photo stopped being shared any further.
भईसाहब, यह फ़ोटो मेरे पिताजी और महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्य मंत्री श्री अशोक शंकरराव चव्हाण की हैं।

Jaya Bachchan has come for a lot of criticism after she said in the parliament that people, despite getting all their name and fame from the industry, are now damaging the reputation of the industry itself.
Jaya Bachchan’s comment came in the aftermath of Ravi Kishan’s comment who is also an actor and a BJP MP from Gorakhpur.
Ravi Kishan had earlier raised his voice in Lok Sabha saying that the drug cartel was there in the industry and it needed to be removed as soon as possible to save the industry and to save the future generations from becoming drug addicts.
Jaya Bachchan saw Ravi Kishan’s comment as an attack on the entire industry altogether and took a swipe at him later in the Rajya Sabha without taking his name.
Ravi Kishan then later insisted that Jaya Bachchan didn’t understand the context of his comment at all because at no point was he blaming the entire industry for being addicts. He was only talking about some bad apples.
