Subramanian Swamy Slams Uddhav Thackeray For Harassing Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been one of the most vocal celebrities on the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress has been slamming Mumbai Police for their ‘irresponsible’ investigation on the case. She has also revealed many shocking revelations about Bollywood celebrities and their connection with drugs.

Recently, Shiv Sena’s IT cell filed a complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut seeking an FIR under ‘charges of sedition’ for comparing Mumbai to POK.

Now Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has come out in support of the actress and has questioned Maharashtra’s government on the same. He wrote:

“On what basis does Maharashtra Governments wants Kangana to be booked on charge of Sedition? Which Sections of which Act has been invoked. According to my knowledge the only Section is of IPC 124A which is wholly inapplicable to Kangana for whatever she has done or spoken.”

Last week Kangana Ranaut stirred a controversy after she compared Mumbai to ‘Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’ as she criticized Mumbai Police over their investigation on the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The statements didn’t go down well with the netizens and also with many politicians.

In fact many politicians including Maharashtra’s home minister Anil Deshmukh saying that ‘she has no right to stay in Mumbai’. What added more fuel to the fire was Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut using a cuss word for the actress and giving her an ‘open threat’ on live Television.

Later, Kangana Ranaut called out on Sanjay Raut for giving her an open threat on live television. Meanwhile, Kangana has been given Y-Grade security by the Centre. National Commission for Women has also stepped in and the NCW chief Rekha Sharma has also demanded protection of the actress. She also slammed Sanjay Raut for his statements.

Kangana Ranaut, who is currently in Himachal Pradesh, will be back in Mumbai on 9th September. A few days back, Kangana took to her social media and posted a hard-hitting tweet for all those who were threatening to not return to Mumbai. She wrote:

“I see many people are threatening me to not come back to Mumbai so I have now decided to travel to Mumbai this coming week on 9th September, I will post the time when I land at the Mumbai airport, kisi ke baap mein himmat hai toh rok le”
