Scientist A Ranganathan Pointed Out The Biggest Mistake By Yogi Adityanath Government

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation, the state government all around the country are trying their best to curb with the situation. Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has advised residents to not panic. He has given an assurance on uninterrupted supply on essential items.

Releasing a statement, Adityanath said: “From tomorrow vegetables, milk, fruits, medicines and other essential commodities will be delivered to your doorsteps, for which we have identified more than 10,000 vehicles. These include 4,500 PRVs of police, 4,200 ambulances of 108 and 102 apart from these government vehicles will also be roped in for the purpose.”

However, recently, India Today revealed that the UP government will put restrictions on the timings of medical stores and groceries. In a Tweet, India Today stated:

“UP Police is announcing in different parts of the state that medical stores and groceries will be opened only between 8-10 in morning and 4-6 in the evening.”

While many appreciated this decision of Yogi Aditynath, on the other hand, Anand Ranganathan, a popular research Scientist, and the professor took to his twitter and highlighted the biggest mistake in his decision. In his tweet, Anand Ranganathan wrote how putting a time limit on groceries store will defeat the whole purpose of social distancing as people will create chaos in those hours. He wrote:

Madness. Everyone will descend during those hours, defeating the whole purpose of Social Distancing. For curfew yes, but NEVER EVER keep restricted timings during a lockdown meant for containing a disease. cc @myogiadityanath”
