A video showing a yogi meditating in snowy mountains has sparked debate online, with some suggesting it’s fake or generated with the help of Artificial Intelligence. The footage went viral on social media, drawing attention from various quarters.
Encountering a genuine yogi, especially in the age of Kalyug, poses a significant challenge. In today’s era, only a handful of individuals aspire to pursue the path of yoga for spiritual enlightenment.
Consequently, when the video of a yogi went viral on the internet doing “kadi tapasaya” in such hard conditions of the snow-clad mountains, there were doubts about it’s credibility. This doubt stems from the rarity of individuals committed to such profound spiritual practices amidst the distractions and materialism of modern society.
However, Kaulantak Peeth, a spiritual group in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu, has identified the yogi in the video as Satyendra Nath and asserted that it’s authentic, dispelling doubts about the credibility of the video.
Truth Behind The Viral Video Of A Yogi Meditating In Snow-Clad Mountains Of Kullu
Well, in early February, Satyendra Nath, accompanied by his disciples Rahul and Savarninath, journeyed to the Seraj Valley in Kullu district for a month. During their visit, a fierce snowstorm struck one day, prompting the disciples to inform Satyendra Nath.
“But when we approached Satyendra Nath, we discovered him in a profound state of meditation amidst the snowy mountains. Hence, we chose to capture his video,” Rahul recounted.
According to Savarninath, Satyendra Nath was observed practicing Agni Yoga in the snow-covered mountains, as depicted in the viral video. He revealed:
“He has been practising meditation in the snow-capped mountains since the past 22 years,”

Satyendra Nath, also known as Ishputra among his followers, was guided by his mentor, Ishnath, who followed the Himalayan yoga tradition. Ishputra now leads the Kaulantak Peeth and has followers in over eight countries. He promotes yoga and spiritual practices among his devotees.
As per Kaulantak Peeth, the widely circulated video is not an isolated occurrence. The Peeth stated that students have captured additional footage of Satyendra Nath in meditative states amidst the Himalayan scenery several times.
