The film “Varisu,” starring Thalapatty Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, has been very well received. The Vamshi Paidipally-helmed film has already made over Rs 210 crore in its first week and is predicted to do much better in the coming weeks. Rashmika’s performances in the songs “Ranjithame” and “Jimikki Ponnu” have been at the top of the charts, garnering the film nonstop press coverage.
Savouring the film’s success, Rashmika said: “Looking at the massive love and appreciation being showered on ‘Varisu’ really warms my heart and makes me feel so grateful!”
“The story and its narrative is such that the moment I heard it, I was sure it would definitely connect with family audiences, so it was an instant ‘yes’ for me. And the cherry on the cake was working with Vijay sir, which was a dream opportunity come true,” she added.

The Vijay–Rashmika film has become a huge hit. The protagonist of Varisu is a son of a business magnate. Unfavorable circumstances compel him to assume control of his father’s business enterprise. Producer/director Vamshi Paidipally collaborated with actors/writers Hari and Ashishor Solomon on the film’s screenplay.
In the role of principal female opposite Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna made an appearance. R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish are just some of the other talented actors in the film’s supporting ensemble. The film is being produced by Dil Raju, who has put his production company, Sri Venkateswara Creations, behind it. The soundtrack features original music created by S Thaman.
In 2023, Rashmika plans to release four films, one of which is “Varisu,” in a variety of languages. She has upcoming roles in “Animal,” “Mission Majnu,” and a third picture that is being kept secret for the time being.
The espionage thriller Mission Majnu is based on actual events and sheds light on one of India’s most crucial missions in its history. Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Mir Sarwar, and Zakir Hussain also feature. It debuted on Netflix this morning (January 20).
