Her latest film Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan is a remake of Forrest Gump and was released recently but sadly the movie couldn’t perform well at the box office.

Dil Dhadakne Do
Zoya Akhtar’s directorial Dil Dhadakne Do receive a good response from both the audiences and the critics.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was offered the role of Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the film and the filmmaker wanted to cast her and Ranbir Kapoor as siblings as they are cousins in real life as well. Kareena Kapoor Khan couldn’t do the film. However, she expressed that she would love to work with Zoya Akhtar in the future. Talking about the same, Kareena Kapoor Khan stated,
“It’s my loss because I love Zoya, but couldn’t be part of her film. I am dying to work with her. Inshallah, this isn’t the last film she is going to make, and it’s not the last film that I’m not able to do. Aage Bhi bahut padi hai Zindagi (there’s life ahead). Whenever she has a role for me, I’ll definitely do it.”
Queen
Starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead, Queen was initially offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan, however, the actress didn’t say yes as she wasn’t convinced with the script, as per the sources. Queen turned out to be a blockbuster movie and was awarded the prestigious National Film Award for Best Feature Film. The film also won the Filmfare Award for Best Film as well.
Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
According to sources, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to cast Kapoor Khan in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and the actress was even looking forward to working with the astonishing filmmaker. However, later due to some unknown reasons, the actress backed out from the project. Talking about the same, she revealed
“Yes, I was supposed to do Ram-Leela but I changed my mind. I decided to do Gori (Gori Tere Pyaar Mein) instead. I’ve missed the chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali but there’s always the next time.”
After Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected the film Deepika Padukone was seen portraying the character of Leela.
Chennai Express
Chennai Express was another super-hit film to which Kareena Kapoor Khan said no. Reportedly, the actress had date issues and hence couldn’t commit to the film. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The action-comedy film earned massively at the global box office and proved to be the biggest hit of all time.
Fashion
Kareena Kapoor Khan was also offered the lead role in the award-winning film Fashion. As the star said no to the script, the film went to Priyanka Chopra Jonas who was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the film. Fashion was hailed as one of the best women-centric films in Bollywood by numerous critics and was loved by fans as well.
Black
Another Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected was the National Award-winning film, Black. The glamourous diva was asked to play the protagonist, which the actress didn’t say yes to as she didn’t like the script. The role was eventually played by Rani Mukerji and earned her immense critical appreciation from the audiences globally.
Moreover, Black was included in the 10 Best Movies of the Year around the globe by Time Magazine.
Kal Ho Naa Ho
Kareena Kapoor Khan was offered the role of Naina (played by Preity Zinta) in this rom-com which features Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan in important roles. Due to various reasons, the actress rejected the film and later stated in an interview,
“I look back, definitely, but I constantly move ahead in my life and career. I’ve never regretted not doing any film. Maybe I wouldn’t have married Saif if I had done Kal Ho Na Ho, who knows.”
Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai
Surprisingly, Kareena Kapoor Khan did say yes to Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai even shot some portions of the film. However, a few days later, she walked out of the film. She was then replaced by newcomer Ameesha Patel who became an overnight star with massive success in the movie.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was always keen to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The Padmaavat director wanted to cast her in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to play the lead role but due to unknown reasons, the role went on to super beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits of that year and bagged numerous awards including the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award.
