Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia D’Souza recently handled an online troll with grace and humor during their appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s talk show Pinch. The show, known for addressing celebrities’ social media interactions, featured a segment where Arbaaz read out negative comments about the couple.
The Troll’s Comment and Genelia’s Reaction
One particularly nasty comment targeted Genelia, referring to her as “aunty” and accusing her of being “vulgar” and “always overreacting.” Genelia, visibly surprised, responded calmly, saying, “I don’t think he is having a good day at home.” She added that her roles rarely allow her to appear “vulgar,” as she is often portrayed as the ideal “girl you take home.” “I am always married, I am always the girl that you take home,” said Genelia.
Riteish’s Epic Response
Riteish, however, stole the show with his quick-witted reply. Upon learning that the troll’s username included “yoga,” he cheekily suggested the user should practice yoga themselves, recommending specific poses like Kapalbhati and Shavasana for relaxation. His response left both the audience and the host impressed. He also said,
“It’s okay for people to comment because you’re putting yourself out there. I don’t think one should really take it as an offence. I always write (to such trollers), love you too my friend.”
The couple also addressed a viral clip where Genelia appeared annoyed while Riteish greeted Preity Zinta at an award function. Genelia clarified the story behind her expression, explaining that her discomfort stemmed from high heels and fatigue after a long day, rather than any awkwardness between her and Preity.
Professional Highlights and Family Life
Genelia D’Souza, known for her roles in films like Tujhe Meri Kasam, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, has been a beloved face in Indian cinema. Riteish Deshmukh, last seen in Baaghi 3, continues to charm audiences with his versatile performances. Married since 2012, the couple are proud parents to two sons.
Riteish’s humorous approach to trolling and Genelia’s grace under pressure highlight why they remain one of Bollywood’s most admired couples.
