In a playful dig at the Pakistan cricket team’s performance, Zomato took to X (formerly Twitter) following their loss to the USA in the ICC T20 World Cup. Competing in the Cricket World Cup for the first time, the USA narrowly defeated Pakistan by 5 runs in a Super Over earlier this week.
Zomato’s post humorously addressed Pakistan as “bro,” asking, “sunday ko ad slots le ya na?” and questioning their performance in the match against the USA. This light-hearted post quickly gained traction on social media.

Joining the fun, Zomato’s competitor Swiggy also chimed in on X with a witty comment: “lagta hai USA jaa ke zyada burger pizzey kha liye.”

India-Pakistan Cricket Rivalry
The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is among the most intense in the world. The two teams have faced off seven times in previous ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches, including twice in 2007 (one being the Final), and again in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2021, and 2022.
India has dominated these encounters, winning six out of the seven matches. This includes memorable victories such as the epic bowl-out and the Final in 2007, and Virat Kohli’s sensational run chase in Australia in 2022. Pakistan’s sole win came in the 2021 edition in Dubai, where they ended India’s unbeaten World Cup streak in both 50-over and 20-over formats.
The most recent clash between the two teams in the T20 World Cup was in October 2022, at a packed Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
