Actor Adhyayan Suman, once in a relationship with actor and BJP MP-elect Kangana Ranaut, has spoken out in her defense after she was allegedly slapped by a CISF constable at Chandigarh airport.
Despite their past public fallout, Adhyayan, recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, condemned the incident at an event in Mumbai. He emphasized that taking the law into one’s own hands is never the solution, regardless of the provocation.
According to the Hindustan Times, Adhyayan Suman’s father, Shekhar Suman, also criticized the assault. He remarked,
“This is very wrong and unfortunate. No one has the right to do this; it’s illegal and she should be punished. Even if there’s anger or protest, it should be expressed decently. You can’t raise your hand on anyone like this.”
Reacting to his father’s statement, Adhyayan added,
“I completely agree with him. Personal grudges should not be taken out publicly. This should not have happened.”

The now-suspended CISF constable was caught on camera, claiming she was triggered by Kangana’s previous incendiary comments about the farmers’ protests.
Interestingly, Adhyayan Suman had publicly accused Kangana of slapping him at Hrithik Roshan’s birthday party in 2016. In a revealing interview with DNA, he described how Kangana had become “violent” with him, slapping him and accusing him of being jealous of her success.
Following the incident at Chandigarh airport, the Punjab Police booked and suspended CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur. An FIR was lodged under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code. Kangana took to social media to criticize those celebrating the attack.
