Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and Lucknow Super Giants’ spinner Amit Mishra engaged in a lighthearted exchange following their encounter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match on Tuesday.
Rohit was taken aback upon discovering Mishra’s age of 40. Responding in his characteristic manner, the Team India skipper quipped,
“What 40? You’re three years older than me?” Mishra, in turn, disclosed that he is 41.
Adding a touch of humor, Rohit suggested Mishra might have started his career “in nappies” when they were much younger.
This amusing conversation was shared by Lucknow Super Giants on the social media platform X with the caption “That ”Arre yaar” felt personal,”
Amit Mishra made his international debut in 2003 during an ODI match against South Africa and later represented India in Test and T20I cricket. His last appearance in international cricket was in a T20I game against England in February 2017.
