Incident Details
After winning the Lok Sabha election in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, under the Bhartiya Janata Party, Kangana was en route to New Delhi for a National Democratic Alliance meeting. She alleged that a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur slapped her in the face at Chandigarh International Airport, reportedly due to her recent comments on Khalistan. An FIR was subsequently filed against the constable.
While some celebrated the incident, journalist Faye D’Souza condemned the violence on Facebook, especially from airport security. Celebrities who have had conflicts with Kangana, including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar, and Soni Razdan, liked D’Souza’s post. Veteran actor Shabana Azmi also condemned the celebration of the violence inflicted on Kangana.
Karan Johar’s feud with Kangana began in 2017 when she called him the “flag-bearer of nepotism” on his show “Koffee with Karan.” While Kangana is preparing for the release of her directorial debut “Emergency,” Karan’s crime thriller “Kill” is set to hit cinemas on July 4.
