“I will also not come again… You should never regret that you haven’t seen that person. People say we did not see Kishore Kumar and other singers. But now you can say we have seen Asha Bhosle. I got the name and fame, people started recognising me. Even though when I am not working, I keep singing. I keep practising. I never left singing, that’s why my voice is okay even today.”

“People did carry tales and try to create trouble, but blood is thicker than water. I remember, sometimes both of us would be at a function and some industry types would ignore me and interact only with her, as if to prove their loyalty. Later, didi and I would have a good laugh.”
