Talking about his professional front, from making films on the controversial death of former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and Naxalites, to showcasing the ugly truth behind the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in his movie The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri has always picked up sensitive issues in his movies.
As mentioned earlier, he received praise from all corners for his last release movie The Kashmir Files, which was based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in the 1990s. The movie that features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli, highlighted the ugly time that the Kashmiri Pandits had to go through.
Vivek is currently working on his upcoming movie titled The Vaccine War. The Vaccine War, which stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi, is scheduled to be released in theatres later this year.
