Popular director Vivek Agnihotri is known for making brilliant movies that usually open up the eyes of the audience. The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files are two masterpieces which are directed by him. He is also known for giving bold and fearless statements in the media and the public.
He is very selective with words as recently he said he does not believe in the “dumb race” of the Bollywood box office.
His reaction was followed by the ongoing debate over Brahmastra VS The Kashmir Files. Reportedly, Brahmastra emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, surpassing the earliest biggest hit of 2022 which was Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial. Vivek Agnihotri Reacted to the ongoing Brahmastra & The Kashmir Files debate
On Monday, Vivek Agnihotri took Twitter and shared numerous screenshots that reportedly said Brahmastra beats The Kashmir Files and becomes the number one Hindi film of 2022’. The filmmaker laughed at those reports and wrote,
“Hahahaha. I don’t know how they beat #TheKashmirFiles…with sticks, rods, hockey… or AK47 or stones…. Or with paid PR and influencers? Let Bollywood films compete with each other. Leave us alone. I am not in that dumb race. Thanks. #NotBollywood.”

Vivek Agnihotri’s the Kashmir File was an astonishing blockbuster of the year. Not even a single person anticipated that a movie that was made on such a small budget and with such a controversial theme would come out to be such a big hit. However, it did, and fans loved it.
The Kashmir Files received a lot of love not just from fans but also from various political personalities.
The Kashmir files was based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley during the early phase of the armed insurgency, and it was loved almost by everyone. Several states came out for the movie’s support by declaring it tax-free. Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa are among those states.
Coming back to the box office reports of Brahmastra, actor Ranbir Kapoor told that
“Brahmastra is unique being where the budget is not just for one film but for the whole trilogy.”
He further said that,
“The assets we have made for this film, be it fire or any other superpower, it will be divided into three films. So the figures (for this film) that are floating around are wrong. The film doesn’t follow the same economics as other movies in the industry. This is a new beast.”
Produced by Star Studios and Dharma Productions, Brahmastra is a multilingual film that has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Within 10 days of its release, the movie has created so many records and is being loved by audience.
