Earlier, speculations arose about the actress delivering her baby soon in London. It all stemmed from industrialist Harsh Goenka’s recent post on his X handle, hinting at an impending birth. Without explicitly mentioning Virat or Anushka, he wrote, “A new baby is to be born in the next few days! Hope the baby takes India to great heights like the greatest cricketing father. Or will it follow the mother and be a film star?” Goenka also used hashtags ‘Made In India’ and ‘To Be Born In London’, leading many to believe he referred to Anushka and Virat.
News of Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy initially surfaced in October 2023 following a report by Hindustan Times, stating that the actress was expecting her second child with husband Virat Kohli. “Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
In January 2024, AB De Villiers seemingly confirmed Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy reports on his YouTube channel, stating, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision.” However, he later refuted the claims.
In 2017, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot, embarking on their journey as a married couple.
Their joy multiplied when they welcomed their daughter, Vamika, on January 11, 2021, further enriching their lives.
Recently, Kohli opted out of the first two Tests against England. Despite India’s defeat in the opening match in Hyderabad, they secured victory in the second Test in Vizag. However, Kohli decided to withdraw from the entire series due to personal reasons, a decision supported by the BCCI.
