Raju Srivastava recently got caught amidst a monunental controversy where he was being labelled as a ‘hypocrite’ as his video of slamming Tandav for hurting Hindu sentiments went viral.
Raju Srivastava, who is currently the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council, took to Twitter in order to underline the brashness of ‘Tandav’ makers.
However, this stunt of his backfired as Twitter users dug up his erstwhile videos where he was seen mocking Hindu God, Brahma himself. Not only did he stop there but he inflicted further comedy on Ramayana.
Poet and lyricist, Hussain Haidry tweeted, sharing Srivastava’s video online, citing, “Chief of Uttar Pradesh Film Vikas Parishad. Giving a short and peaceful masterclass on “Indian” cinema”.

Raju Srivastava quoted in his tweet, “I have been saying this for a long time that Hindu feelings and sentiments are being mocked at. This is a conspiracy to defame the religion. Filmmakers and web show creators who are helming projects like Tandav should be ashamed of themselves. How dare you make fun of Hindu deities? I dare you to make shows critiquing other religions. You won’t be able to do because you will be killed. Saif Ali Khan has been supporting this again and again because it’s given that Hindus are kind enough to forgive. But it’s time for stringent action. Merely removing a scene isn’t enough, perpetrators should be punished”.
Unfortunately he forgot his old days, where he himself was the one mocking Hindu Gods. Film-maker Vinod Kapri was the first one to shed light on Raju Srivastava’s hypocrisy as he posted an old video where Raju Srivastava was seen spoofing Brahma himself. He was seen telling Brahma that a number of series are being made on him and hence it was time for him to know the mortals. Srivastava also promised Brahma to make him meet Madhuri Dixit.

Vinod Kapri was on fire and he shared another video where Raju Srivastava was seen advising Brahma to release a musical album. He also told Brahma to join hands with humans and run the nation together. In fact, he also suggested Brahma to do a few collaborations with MNC’s.

The list was mounting as anither social media user shared another video where Raju Srivastava was seen spoofing Ramayana and telling everyone that how it would pan out if there were news channels at the time of it.

In another Tweet, another user of the micro-blogging site, quoted, “Meanwhile in next slide there is a video of him joking about Ramayana. This isn’t really offensive, but neither is Tandav. Yet #Tandav will be attacked because the cast and creator is Muslim.”
He followed it up, citing, “Then why is there selective outrage about “religious sentiments” by BJP leaders?”
