Even after so many years, Shark Tank India season 2 continues to be in the headlines. In the latest episode of the business reality show, Lt Col Y Rajasekhar Reddy pitched their startup Kitsons, a one-stop destination for arts and crafts, toys, party accessories, and such.
The colonel’s two sons, Abhishek, and Shubhankar Y accompanied him while he was presenting their product. Abhishek has earlier worked with Accenture and DE Shaw, before diving into the family business. A first-generation one of kind stationery business based out of Hyderabad, Kitsons has 7 retails across the city.
Kitsons claims to be the biggest player in the emerging organized stationery market in the country, with authentic and imported product folio. The company’s projected valuation is at Rs 100 crores. Rajeshekar pitched for Rs 10 crores with 10 percent equity.
Sadly, none of the sharks seemed interested in the startup, however, they offered their equivocal admiration for the colonel. The sharks saluted the ex-army personnel for serving the country for 22 years.

Meanwhile, sharks have rejected so many pitches in this season. Some of them were too quirky and some didn’t meet the standards of the show.
A handful of the products were lambasted by the Sharks this season for being downright sinful.

However, the show still going well with many founders walking away with lucrative deals, as each episode brings the popular business reality to its finale for the season.
