After an impressive hiatus of 11 years, she made a remarkable comeback to Hindi cinema with the 2024 action thriller “Yodha,” alongside the heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra. The film has garnered immense success at the box office, with audiences particularly appreciating the chemistry between Raashii and Sidharth.
Fans often blur the lines between reel and reality, especially when it comes to on-screen couples. Recently, amidst such fan fervor, a comment surfaced expressing a desire for Raashii and Sidharth to be married in real life as well. During an interview with FilmyGyan, Raashii was asked to share her thoughts on this sentiment.
Sportingly, Raashii acknowledged the fan opinion, highlighting the disparity between fans’ perceptions and the reality of her relationship with Sidharth.
She emphasized that fans’ preferences are based solely on their on-screen personas, lacking insight into their personal lives. Raashii pointed out the possibility that they might not be compatible off-screen, despite their on-screen chemistry. In her words,
“Abh dekhiye woh unka opinion hai, naa woh mujhe jante hai naa woh Sid ko jante hai, toh woh kaise bol sakte hai. Kya pata hum bilkul e kharap ho ek dusre ke liye. Maybe they like the song, they like the chemistry but you don’t know us at all, but thik hai, woh unka opinion hai.”

In the same interview, Raashii Khanna delved into her preferences regarding a life partner. She expressed an aversion to immaturity, emphasizing the importance of maturity and responsibility in a man.
She revealed that she and Sidharth do not share a close friendship off-screen, attributing it to their introverted nature. However, they share a mutual respect and understanding of their craft, bonded by their shared roots in Delhi.
“I’m an introverted person just like him. We aren’t great friends. It’s not like we’re buddies or we talk all the time. We share a good and respectful co-star relationship. During shoot, we would keep to ourselves. When I met him, I thought he was my type. He also felt like I was his type since we’re both introverts. We understand the craft. We know what’s required of us as actors every time a love song comes our way. I knew that we look good onscreen but I couldn’t have imagined that we would get such an amazing response from the audience. We also share the Delhi connection. But the only thing ‘Delhi’ about us is our accent (laughs). He asked me, ‘Tu Dilli se hai?’ After that, we had some conversations about the same city. He also reads and so, I had some conversations on books with him and about films in general.”
Raashii’s revelations shed light on the complexities of on-screen personas versus real-life relationships, prompting reflection on the nature of fan expectations and the realities behind celebrity interactions.
