Govinda’s recent reunion with his nephew, Krushna Abhishek, and his wife, Kashmera Shah, at Arti Singh’s wedding garnered considerable attention. The wedding, held at the ISKCON temple on April 25, 2024, marked an end to an eight-year-long family feud between Govinda and his relatives.
The rift between the legendary actor, his wife Sunita, and Krushna Abhishek, along with Kashmera Shah, was no secret.
However, in a recent podcast, Govinda opened up about the underlying reason behind his hurt and resentment toward the couple, which came as a surprise to many.
Govinda revealed Krushna Abhishek, and Kashmera did not allow him to meet their twins
Govinda disclosed that the crux of his anguish stemmed from Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah’s reluctance to allow him to meet their twins. According to Govinda, when the twins were born, he and Sunita visited the hospital with the intention of seeing the newborns. However, they were denied entry on the instructions of the twins’ parents, leaving Govinda to speculate that it might have been due to concerns about infection.
Despite subsequent attempts on four separate occasions to meet the children, Govinda was thwarted each time, unable even to gain access to the premises. To compound matters, Krushna Abhishek publicly accused Govinda of neglecting to visit his children, a claim Govinda vehemently refutes.
“Krishna ke bache paida hua, toh mei dekhne ke liye hospital gaya, Sunita ko le gaya tha. Humlog jis waqt gaye, aise toh dekh liya parantu kaha ki mann akia gaya hai ki kisi ke kareeb nahi ane dena. meine kaha, ki ho sakta hai Sunita ki infection ke wahaj se. Toh mei aise chaar time ja chuka hu ki mei bacho log ke taraf dekh ke aya hai. Woh accept hi nahi karta hai. Woh jo interview jaha karta hai bolta hai mere bache dekhne nahi aye hai.”
At Arti’s wedding, Govinda and his son, Yashvardhan, were in attendance, but the absence of Sunita was palpable. Kashmera, acknowledging Sunita’s grievances, expressed her intentions to reconcile and hoped that the strong and independent women of the family would find a way to mend their differences.
The revelation from Govinda has sparked widespread discussion, inviting varied opinions on the matter. What’s your take on this situation?
