The rumor that a third instalment of Bollywood’s famous comedy flick Hera Pheri is in the works has made the film a hot topic of conversation. Since then, however, it has also been mired in controversy amid rumours that Akshay Kumar will not be returning to his part as Raju. The fans were really disappointed. Now, in a recent interview with the media, Suniel Shetty, who portrayed Shyam in the film, revealed some fresh information.

Akshay Kumar plays Raju, Suniel plays Shyam, and Paresh Rawal is Babu Bhaiya in Hera Pheri. They just don’t work as a comic three with any other trio of performers. Fans were not happy when they heard that Kartik Aaryan would be taking up Akki’s role as Raju in the film.

Suniel Shetty informed the reporters that he would speak to Akshay Kumar about his decision not to return as Raju in the third installment of Hera Pheri. Suniel Shetty, when asked for an update on the situation by India Today, said,
“It will happen in the greatest possible manner.”
Suniel Shetty continued the dialogue, saying, “Fingers crossed because I have always stated Raju ke bina Shyam nahi and Shyam ke bina Babu bhaiya and teeno ke bina Her”a Phera nahi.

For the uninitiated, the rumour that Kartik Aaryan would be taking Akshay Kumar’s place in Hera Pheri 3 was just that: a rumour. Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Suniel Shetty addressed such rumours, revealing whether or not he would miss Akshay if he didn’t return to the character of Raju. To which he said, “Of course I would, and it was the goal that Raju, Shyam, and Babu Rao should be together.”
