Prithvi Shaw recently got involved in a controversy with a social media influencer and her friends over clicking selfies. And this is not the first time that the young cricketer has found himself in such type of quarrel that made headlines. For unversed, earlier this week, Shaw found himself in new controversy over clicking selfies with some fans in Mumbai.
In a viral video, that is doing the rounds on the internet, social media influencer Sapna Gill and her friends were involved in a heated argument and fight with Shaw after he allegedly denied selfies.
After the whole incident, the influencer accused Prithvi Shaw and his friends of physically abusing her outside the five-star hotel in Mumbai, where the cricketer was dining with his friends.
Sapna Gill further claimed that she never asked for a selfie while also alleging that Shaw hit her on her chest and arms.
Amid the whole controversy, Shaw has now received support from his childhood friend Arjun Tendulkar – son of the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Shaw and Arjun have been friends since U-14 days and junior Tendulkar extended his support through a couple of Instagram stories.
“Stay strong boy, always with you through good and bad times @prithvishaw,”
Arjun posted.
He also shared a picture from the U-14 days with Shaw.
Talking about cricket, Prithvi Shaw recently returned to India’s T20I squad for the home series against New Zealand. However, he didn’t get an opportunity as the Men in Blue opened with Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan in all three games.
