Shark Tank India has been doing all the popular rounds of late and has shot through the roofs after a successful first season followed by another bombastic second. Helping entrepreneurs across the nation, not just with money but also with global fame, STI has been spreading smiles across faces.
However, not always what unfurls on the screen gets an eventuality off it. A recent incident is a burning testimony of the same. One contestant from Season 1, Akshay Shah alleged that the two judges did not respond to a pitcher even after the deal was secured and locked. Akshay tweeted, “Met a founder yesterday who had gotten a deal from 2 sharks in season 1 and who never met him nor responded to his emails post #SharkTankIndia — Ab kya bolen?”

When asked why he did not highlight the pitchers who were responsible for the same, he said, “Like I said most founders fear, I am helpless. In season 1, what we faced, more than 50% of others faced the same or worse, the outcome being Ashneer was shown the door and sharks were counselled not to be rude and brash and to be considerate, but no founder came out in the open!”

There was another user who somewhat defended this move, saying, “This happens in lot of shows. Not everybody gets funding.” However, Akshay was in no mood to relent as he said, “Not getting funding and not getting response post agreeing to fund, dono alag hai boss.”

A user was not buying this claim as he wanted to know the identity of the sharks who were responsible for the same. Akshay said, “Most founders don’t have the balls of steel what we have show, none wanna reveal their identity, am helpless dude!”
