With a notable career in Bollywood, including memorable roles in films like “Mohabbatein” (2000), “Bewafaa” (2005), and “Cash” (2007), Shamita has left an indelible mark on the industry. Her versatility extends beyond acting to reality television, where she has showcased her skills on shows such as “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” (2015), “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9” (2019), and multiple seasons of “Bigg Boss.” Additionally, her advocacy for wellness and fitness, along with her success as an interior designer and entrepreneur, further solidify her influence.
Despite her accomplishments, Shamita recently faced derogatory comments online about her age and unmarried status. However, she responded with grace and strength to a particular troll who labeled her as ‘elderly’ and unmarried at 50.
In a poignant message posted in response to the disparaging remarks, Shamita emphasized that marriage is not the sole purpose of her life.
She highlighted the importance of happiness, contentment, and independence, urging the troll to refrain from pulling down other women. Her dignified response serves as a reminder to embrace positivity and reject attempts to diminish women based on societal expectations. She posted a story and said,
“I want to take time out to respond to this very kind lady trying to put another woman down for not being married. Kudos, to you FYI, mission unsuccessful.”
She added,
“Getting married in life is not my only purpose in life! Being happy n content n independent in life with gratitude in my heart is wishing u a lot positivity in ur life… n hope u nver try to pull another woman down again! If u have nothing nice to say to ppl… best to just keep quiet!”
Shamita’s resilience is further underscored by her openness about her personal life, including a brief relationship with Raqesh Bapat, which ended after a few months.
