If you are one of those people who were waiting for the new ‘Taarak Mehta’ in the longest-running family-comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, then here’s something for you.
For quite a long time there were rumors about Shailesh Lodha aka Taarak Mehta leaving the show and now the news is confirmed by the producer Asit Kumar Modi himself.
Sachin Shroff To Play New Taarak Mehta
As per reports Balika Vadhu fame Sachin Shroff has replaced Shailesh Lodha in Asit Kumar Modi’s show. There are claims that Sachin has also started shooting for the show.
Confirming the news, Asit Kumar Modi said
‘We had tried a lot to find a middle ground but Shailesh left the show. We have a team of good writers and directors so hopefully, people will accept Sachin in the role of ‘Taarak Mehta’.
Sachin Shroff is a popular name in the television industry and has worked on several successful shows. Apart from Balika Vadhu, the actor was also seen in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Tumhari Paakhi, Anudamini, and Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka among others.
Previously it was reported that Jaineeraj Rajpurohit who also featured in Balika Vadhu was being considered for the role of Taarak Mehta. However, later, the show’s production house confirmed that the news was ‘not true.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular yet longest-running television shows and Shailesh Lodha was a part of the same ever since its beginning.
However, he quit earlier this year. Reportedly, Mehta Sahab was not very happy with his contract and felt that his dates were not properly used while shooting for the show. It was also said that Shailesh wanted to explore more opportunities.
A few days ago, Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Champaklal Gada also talked about his ‘fire brigade’s exit from the show and added that MEHTA SAHAB might also return to the show.
“As I said, change is inevitable. Thodi difficulty toh hoti hai when they leave the show, of course as a rhythm is set with your co-stars, but never say never Shailesh Bhai Aa Bhi sakte hai wapas,”
he told.
Shailesh Lodha is not the first actor who has left Asit Kumar Modi’s show. Earlier Disha Vakani aka Daya, Neha Mehta aka Anjali Taarak Mehta, Gurucharan Singh aka Sodhi, Nidhi Bhanushali aka Sonu, and Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu also left the show.
