A video capturing Shahid Kapoor reprimanding the paparazzi has gained traction on social media. The actor, accompanied by his wife Mira Kapoor, recently attended the annual school function of their children, Misha and Zain. Following the event, the family was waiting near their car, engaging with others when the persistent paparazzi, stationed nearby, continued to snap numerous pictures.
In the video footage, Shahid Kapoor is seen glancing back and giving a stern warning to the photographers, who showed no signs of stopping their camera flashes.
Eventually, the actor expressed his frustration and scolded the media for excessive photography.
Wearing an irritated expression, Shahid Kapoor remarked,
“Bachcho ke saath mat kiya karo. 250 crore (photos) toh le chuke ho (Don’t take photos of the kids. You have already taken 250 crore photos).” Shahid then shot an angry look at the photographers before walking away with Mira.
Responding to his reaction, the paparazzi apologized, bringing an end to their incessant clicking.

This incident adds to a series of instances where celebrities and paparazzi interactions have gone viral on social media. In the past, Shahid Kapoor had chastised the paparazzi for shouting his name to gain attention, urging them to relax and not create unnecessary commotion.
While some celebrities, such as Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, and Rani Mukerji, choose to shield their children from public exposure by requesting the paparazzi not to publish their pictures, others like Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor do not attempt to conceal their kids’ faces.
Shahid Kapoor’s recent scolding incident follows a trend of celebrities navigating the delicate balance between public and private life in the ever-present gaze of the media.
