For the very first time, one of the most prestigious awards in the cinematic world, the Academy Award ceremony 2023 will witness a heavy presence of Indian cinema and celebrities.
From The Elephant Whisperers to SS Rajamouli’s RRR, fans are going crazy to see Indian entries competing against global cinema on the big platform.
Ahead of the grand ceremony on Monday, RRR actor Ram Charan talked about winning the Oscars and how it would feel for him and every Indian. Moreover, In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ram Charan expressed his wish to see SS Rajamouli directing a Marvel movie.
After saying that he would like to be a part of every movie in the world where cinema is appreciated and celebrated, Ram Charan reacted to the possibility of the RRR director helming a Marvel project. ”Wow,” he exclaimed and went on to say that he will throw a huge party for the interviewer if that comes true as she is the first person to say it out loud. He also stated that he ‘really wants to see it happen’.
Meanwhile, RRR is nominated under the Best Original Song category for Naatu Naatu and will compete against international artists.
During his appearance on the Talk Easy podcast, Ram Charan mentioned about the euphoria he would experience if they win the Academy award.
Addressing it an ‘incomprehensible’ thing, Ram Charan added that it would be ’emotional for all of us’.
He also revealed that his father veteran actor Chiranjeevi was ‘sentimental’ about it. He talked about how everyone back home is praying for it and stated,
”Its like India winning an Olympic gold medal” and concluded by saying, ”The Oscars is like an Olympic Gold medal equivalent for us”.
