Even though a new team of Earth’s greatest heroes has been assembled, diehard fans can’t help but long for the original cast. It would not be surprising to see Robert Downey Jr. aka RDJ’s villainous Iron Man in the next Avengers film, given the additional possibilities presented by the multiverse theory.
BGR says it’s possible that the villainous Iron Man from Earth-838 may make a return appearance in the MCU. According to the report, Scarlet Witch on Earth-838 carried out a massacre in which she eliminated Illuminati members as part of the Ultron project. It’s possible that Iron Man, still alive on his home planet, may confront the Avengers of Earth-616.
Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez elaborated on how the Iron Man ideas were first presented in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. And the lost member of the Illuminati responsible for the Ultron project in that reality may still return to battle the new Avengers as Evil Iron Man.
Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang, has recently hinted about his admiration for Rober Downey Jr. and working with him in interviews. Fans are eager to see RDJ in the next “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” despite the lack of certainty on his comeback as Iron Man or a variant thereof.
