In a recent exclusive interview renowned singer King delved into various aspects of his career, including songwriting and fan interactions. The conversation turned to fellow artist Aditya Narayan’s recent controversial encounter with a fan during a performance, prompting King to emphasize the significance of maintaining a respectful atmosphere at concerts and events.
King, known for captivating audiences with his soulful melodies, highlighted the role of artists in setting the tone for their performances.
“I have built this fan base over four years, and they know me very well,” King explained. “New fans observe the vibe at my concerts and behave accordingly. There’s always a code of conduct when an artist takes the stage. Whether it’s the high energy of a Travis Scott concert or the sing-along atmosphere of a Coldplay performance, It’s the vibe artists set. You have to behave in a certain way.”
Drawing on his own experiences, King stressed the importance of mutual respect between performers and their audience.
“I simply smile and engage with my fans, and thankfully, no one has ever tried to misbehave with me,” he shared. ” I know how to handle my crowd, however, fans must understand that while we’re all immersed in the performance’s vibe, there are also technical aspects to consider, such as wires and equipment.”
King differentiated his approach to stage presence from other celebrities, noting that his fans are often close to the stage, allowing for more intimate interaction. He described himself as a ‘rockstar’ rather than a traditional celebrity, emphasizing his dynamic connection with his audience. Recently gracing the VH1 Supersonic Music Festival stage in Pune, King continues to captivate audiences with his electrifying performances.
