On 3rd July, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced their divorce through a joint statement. Since then internet is buzzed with reactions of fans, celebrities, and co-workers of couple.
In this chain now, the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt, actress and director Pooja Bhatt gave her reaction. She came to Twitter to express her view on the divorce.
It is notable that Pooja also separated from her husband Manish Makhija in 2014 after 11 glorious years of marriage.
In her first tweet, Pooja said – “Most marriages end badly. The ones that don’t are looked upon as an anomaly. People understand and accept bitterness & hate more than they do largesse and compassion. Which is why most people rather live a lie than face the truth about themselves & a relationship they are in.”
In her next tweet, she wrote – “Nothing new about co-parenting even after one decides to part ways as husband & wife. Relationships are not made/un-made on paper.
They are written on one’s heart. Maintaining a relationship based on respect through & even after a marriage ends requires Integrity. Few manage that.”
Aamir and Kiran together have a son – Aazad, whom they are going to bring up together even after separating as a couple. Through her tweets, Pooja cautioned the couple about their forward relationship as co-parents and friends.
The ‘Zakham’ fame actress is very active on Twitter and lastly seen in the movie – ‘Sadak 2’ with her half-sister Alia Bhatt. Many such statements are made by people of and outside the industry about the decision Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao made.
