Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently said something that grabbed attention from all across the world. He stated that he wouldn’t have any issues working on a Pakistani film.
His statement received backlash and criticism from fans, and it was quite obvious because everyone is aware of the nation’s relationship with the neighboring country.
However, after being heavily criticized the actor has now clarified that his comment was misconstrued, and misinterpreted and that he made that statement because he didn’t want any controversies.
In case you don’t know, he talked about working in Pakistani movies at the Red Sea International Film Festival, which was held in Saudi Arabia.

Now, at an event in Chandigarh, Ranbir stated that his statement was “mis constructed” a bit.
Ranbir mentioned that he attended a festival where many Pakistani filmmakers approached him and asked if he would work with them if the subject was interesting. The actor added that he didn’t want it to be controversial in any way.
Ranbir further emphasized that he has worked with artists hailing from the neighboring country before and that he considers films an art form. He added that he worked with Fawad Khan in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam have contributed a lot to Hindi cinema. Ranbir said that “cinema is cinema,” and it doesn’t have boundaries.
On the other hand, he even stated that one needs to respect art, but “art is not bigger than your country.” He concluded his statement by saying that if one is not on good terms with the country, the “priority will always be” the country.
The actor was promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, at the event.
