Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about his reservations regarding intimate scenes in his latest film, “Animal,” crediting his wife, Alia Bhatt, for providing support. The actor, riding the wave of success post the release of “Animal,” has evoked diverse reactions to his role in the movie.
While some praised his acting prowess, others criticized the portrayal of violence and misogyny in the anti-woman film, particularly in the numerous intimate scenes featuring Triptii Dimri and Ranbir.
In a recently discovered video, Ranbir Kapoor discussed his wife Alia Bhatt’s response to the violent and intimate scenes in “Animal.”
He revealed that he consulted Alia on every scene, expressing his apprehension about certain moments in the film. Kapoor acknowledged Alia’s role in helping him feel at ease, stating:
“We discuss each other’s work a lot. I have immense respect for her as an artist and for her thoughts. Every scene or day during the filming of this movie, I used to discuss it with her. She has assisted me in numerous scenes, especially those where I felt uncertain as an actor about whether it sounded appropriate.”
Additionally, Ranbir praised Alia as a constant pillar of support, emphasizing that he has never pushed the boundaries in portraying a character on screen.
He admitted to questioning himself about his performance but credited Alia for making him comfortable. According to Ranbir, Alia helped him understand the underlying ideas and coherence behind the scenes. Describing Alia as a formidable support, he said:
“I’ve never pushed the boundaries so much in a character. I also strive to portray goodness on screen. Is this acceptable? I believe she has truly acted as a barometer, affirming, ‘Listen, it’s fine, it’s a character, it’s a part. It’s making sense. There is an idea and a thought behind it.’ She has been an unwavering support throughout this film.”
