As we all know, Ramanand Sagar’s renowned TV show Ramayan is immortal and still has a special place in our hearts. The mythological drama was re-broadcasted during the covid making the country relive the golden days of Ramanand’s masterpiece. Through the TV series, actors Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia who played the character of Ram and Sita in it became household names.
As the show ended back in 1988, the duo was never seen again sharing the screen.
Now, 35 years later, Arun and Dipika are all set to feature in a film together. They will be seen in Pradeep Gupta’s directorial Notice. The film is reportedly a modern-day adaptation of Ramayana.
The public image of both of the flabbergasting veteran actors will be sensitively handled and will remain pious as always perceived.
Producer Aditya Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi told,
“It is the story of a vulnerable man who fights for the truth, and his victory against the corrupt administration. Many stories evolve from the Ramayana and Mahabharat. Notice is a modern-day story [with roots in] the Ramayana. The film is so titled as it depicts that whenever you get a notice, it brings some problem with it.”

Arun Ji talked about reuniting with Dipika and told the portal,
“It will be fantastic to work with her again. I am playing a common man fighting for justice. I signed the movie as there is dharma and truth in the character.”
In case you don’t know, Arun has also been on a break from showbiz for the longest time and has OMG 2 in his kitty.
Dipika Ji who was last seen in 2019’s Bala also opened up about her character in Notice and shared,
“Mine is a simple, homely, and interesting character. The film is similar to Ramayan as that too was a simple story, and the audience is attracted to simplicity. During the pandemic, Arun ji and I shot for an ad together.”

The recast of Ramayana broke several records!
Door darshan back then tweeted,
“WORLD RECORD!! Rebroadcast of #Ramayana on #Doordarshan smashes viewership records worldwide, the show becomes the most-watched entertainment show in the world with 7.7 crore viewers on the 16th of April.”
Each episode garnered over 40 lakhs as estimated revenue for DD.
