Mohammed Shami shared a moment with Preity Zinta and the tweet has gone viral
A few Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Shilpa Shetty have been part of the league ever since its inception. One of the reasons owing to them being the owners of certain franchises, while many others have, over the years, visited the stadiums to cheer for their respective teams like Ranveer Singh.
Moreover, the cricketers have also shared a good time with these B-town superstars and are often seen interacting with them post matches, or posing for social-media content for the league or franchise.
Mohammad Shami was initially part of the Punjab franchise between 2019 and 2021 before Gujarat Titans picked him in 2022, where he played a prominent role in the team’s historic victory in the previous season.
Recently, on Saturday, Shami, who plays for Gujarat Titans, took to Twitter to share a moment from his interaction with renowned actress Preity Zinta. The Bollywood heartthrob is the co-owner of Punjab Kings. The picture was taken right after the IPL 2023 match between Punjab and Gujarat Titans, defending champions, in Mohali on Thursday.

However, Shami’s caption left fans curious which led the post to go viral on social media.

However, Punjab lost that match against GT at home on Thursday, incurring their second straight defeat after they started their tournament with two wins in a row.
Gujarat, on the other hand, recovered from the brutal defeat they faced from Rinku Singh at home, to beat PBKS by six wickets in what was a last-over thriller.
The win helped GT climb to the third spot in the points table as is now only the third team to have secured three wins in IPL 2023 so far after Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals.
