Well, we have rarely witnessed veteran actors engaging in a war of words or controversies in Bollywood. Moreover, it is even more rare to see Anupam Kher paying attention to any of it.
However, when it comes to your own film, no actor would think twice to support his movie and stand in its defense and speak out against ill words about it and recently something similar happened recently.
Anupam Kher, too, was not going to let a jibe on his blockbuster movie The Kashmir Files from another veteran star slide. In an recent interview, Anupam Kher was asked to react to Prakash Raj’s comment on the Vivek Agnihotri directorial movie where he called it ‘nonsense’. Kher was quick to strike back and gave a fitting reply.
As quoted by Times Now, he said,
”Apni apni aukat ki baat karte hain log. Kuch logo ko zindagi bhar jhooth bolna padta hai, kuch log zindagi bhar sach bolte hain,”
he further mentioned that he falls into the second category of people speaking only the truth.
”Jisko jhooth bol k jeena hai vo uski marzi hai,”
Anupam Kher concluded bluntly.
In case you don’t know, during his appearance at the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters in Kerala, Prakash Raj talked about the Kashmir Files by calling it ‘nonsense’ and ‘shameless‘. He also stated that the international jury ‘spit on them’.
”The other fellow, the director is still telling, ‘Why I am not getting Oscar?’ He will not even get a Bhaskar,” Prakash Raj concluded while talking about Vivek Agnihotri.
