Pankaj Tripathi is not only a well-known actor in Bollywood but also one of the few who is currently working on many different films. The actor is making news for intending to take action against the creators of Azamgarh when he is working on his next major projects. Reportedly, the actor is annoyed that the producers of Azamgarh used his name for publicity purposes.
Award-winning filmmaker Kamlesh Mishra helmed the feature film Azamgarh. In a small but significant role, Pankaj Tripathi portrays a Maulavi who influences young people to choose a life of terrorism. Since filming had occurred five years before, the picture may debut in that window.
Even though Pankaj was unaware of it, the producers have opted to share it now. The actor for Mirzapur found out about the premiere thanks to trailer hoarding and a billboard. When Pankaj saw advertisements advertising the OTT release, he was quite dissatisfied.
After discovering that the filmmakers had used his name and likeness for promotional purposes, Pankaj Tripathi was understandably enraged. The producers of Azamgarh are using his name in promotional materials as though he played the starring role, but he doesn’t want any part of that kind of attention.
Pankaj feels misrepresented on the poster despite having a little part in film.
He was informed during filming that this would be a short picture, and thus he was able to wrap up production in three days. Not only that, but Pankaj did not even ask for payment for his cameo appearance.
Pankaj Tripathi has not made a formal remark on the topic, but rumours have it that he plans to sue the producers of Azamgarh. The improper use of his name and identity may prompt him to seek legal redress.
Pankaj’s next projects include Oh My God 2 alongside Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam, so things are looking well professionally. Both ‘Metro In Dino’ and ‘Fukrey 3’ feature his reappearance. The actor is also working on the third season of the hit online series Mirzapur.
