In a recent interview with Zoom, Neha Dhupia addressed the criticism faced by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh following their comments on Koffee with Karan Season 8.
She began by stating,
“Judgment is never good.”
“You don’t want to be a high scorer when it comes to judgment and cancel culture.”
“I sometimes feel like not just that but things are taken too far and i near future things will be taken so far that people will stop caring”
She expressed concern that if this trend continues, people may eventually become apathetic.
She further explained that while judgment might be necessary in certain competitive environments such as gymnastics or beauty pageants, it shouldn’t extend to personal matters like casual dating. Neha emphasized, “We shouldn’t encourage a culture of excessive judgment and canceling.”
Expanding on her stance, Neha expressed her concern that such reactions are often blown out of proportion. She worried that if this trend continues unchecked, it could lead to desensitization among people.
