Munmun Dutta, known for her role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently addressed speculations regarding her relationship status. Despite earlier reports claiming her engagement to co-star Raj Anadkat, Munmun took to her Instagram to refute these claims. In a series of stories, she emphasized that she is neither married nor expecting a child.
Munmun Dutta dismissed the engagement rumors as false, asserting that she would openly embrace marriage when the time came. She said,
“Funny how FAKE news spreads like wildfire and keeps coming back like a boomerang. Putting things straight again! Not Engaged. Not Married. Not Pregnant,”
Munmun wrote. “Also, IF and WHEN I do marry, Whether a younger man or an older one I shall do it PROUDLY. Honey! That’s my Bengali genes. Always proud and brave. Joi Maa Durga (sic),”
she added.
In another of her Instagram stories, Munmun wrote,
“Not gonna be putting my energy to fake things anymore. Moving on to better things in life. God is kind and Life is beautiful.”

Expressing frustration at the persistence of fake news, Munmun emphasized her commitment to authenticity and stated her intention to focus on positivity moving forward. Interestingly, her statement comes shortly after reports emerged alleging her engagement to Raj Anadkat, which she vehemently denies. Earlier she said,
This news is ridiculous, fake and ludicrous. Zero ounce of truth in it. And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”
Reports had previously surfaced suggesting that Munmun, aged 36, and Raj, aged 27, had exchanged rings in a private ceremony attended by their families. However, Munmun swiftly dismissed these claims, labeling them as absurd and devoid of truth.
In solidarity with Munmun, Raj Anadkat also refuted the engagement rumors through his Instagram stories, asserting their falsehood. Raj, formerly known for his role as Tappu in the show, clarified that he parted ways with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2022.
Both Munmun and Raj have stood firm in their denial of the engagement rumors, expressing their intent to focus on genuine aspects of their lives amidst the swirling speculation.
