Munmun Dutta, known for her role in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ has finally addressed the speculation surrounding her alleged engagement with Raj Anadkat, dismissing it as utterly false.
The rumors about Munmun Dutta’s romantic involvement with Raj Anadkat, who is notably younger, resurfaced recently. Originating from a news outlet’s claim of their secret engagement ceremony in Vadodara, Gujarat, the story quickly gained traction across various media platforms. However, Munmun Dutta has now unequivocally refuted these claims, labeling them as absurd and devoid of any truth.
In a recent interview with The Times Of India, Munmun Dutta directly refuted the notion of being engaged to Raj Anadkat, dismissing the reports as baseless and recurring fabrications.
She emphasized her reluctance to engage with such unfounded gossip, asserting that it’s a recurring falsehood she’d rather not entertain. Additionally, Munmun clarified that her absence from social media in March was due to her presence in Coimbatore, unrelated to any purported engagement. She stated,
“This news is ridiculous, fake and ludicrous. Zero ounce of truth in it… And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”
Furthermore, Raj Anadkat also took to Instagram to swiftly dispel the false engagement rumors, confirming that the circulating news is entirely unfounded.
Contrary to the claims, sources close to the duo revealed to News18,
“They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was very evident. Everyone on the sets knew about it. In fact, some people were certain that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. Therefore, it is not shocking that they are engaged now.
Moreover, according to another report by News18 Showsha, Munmun Dutta exchanged rings with Raj Anadkat in the presence of their respective families earlier this month. The couple had a low-key ceremony in Vadodara, Gujarat. The source close to the couple revealed that the families have accepted their relationship and they were also present at the ceremony.
Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat have categorically denied the engagement rumors, emphasizing their falsity and urging against further propagation of such baseless gossip.
