The world has already gone through a lot in the past 2 years because of Covid-19 which originated in China. And once again China is depicting carelessness which can cost millions of lives again.
Well, as it seems covid has vanished from our country, that’s not the case with China. That country faced the worst phase of covid 19 in 2022 and the whole nation was under lockdown throughout.

Now imagine having millions of lives at stake; apparently, if China lifts the COVID lockdown. Well, if that happens the lives of up to 2.1 million people could be at risk.
According to a London-based global health information and analytics organization, lifting China’s “zero-COVID policy” might kill 1 to 2 million people.
According to the global health information firm, the zero-COVID policy in China also leaves the population with essentially no naturally acquired immunity due to their illness caused by the coronavirus.
“Due to these characteristics, our analysis indicates that if mainland China experiences a wave like the one that hit Hong Kong in February, its healthcare system may be overwhelmed since there might be 167 to 279 million cases nationally, which might result in between 1.3 and 2.1 million fatalities.”
Health officials in China reported two coronavirus deaths on Monday, both in Beijing, which is currently experiencing its largest outbreak since the COVID pandemic started.
As per CNN, these were the first formally acknowledged deaths following the relaxation of restrictions on December 7.
