Orry is known for being famous for simply being famous. His journey to stardom is a prime example of personal marketing. From being photographed with A-list celebrities and their children to appearing on a major reality show, he’s done it all.
Orry’s fame grew due to his influential connections and frequent appearances in the media. Not long ago, he was a mysterious figure seen with numerous young celebrities, sparking curiosity about his identity and occupation.
Mithun’s Son Talked About Orry’s Fame
Recently, Namashi Chakraborty, Mithun Chakraborty’s son, discussed the contrast between his own struggles in the film industry and the instant fame experienced by individuals like Orry. In an interview, Namashi, who has appeared in just one movie, shared his journey of facing challenges to secure auditions in Mumbai despite his privileges.
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Namashi Chakraborty shared why he doesn’t attract paparazzi attention like other star kids. He recounted an incident where a friend, impressed by his lineage, asked if he knew Orry, indicating the influence of social media fame. He said:
“I tried doing that for a month. I used to rent out clothes and pose, but that didn’t get me any work, so I decided to stop doing it. Let me tell you a story from just last week. I was sitting in Soho House, and my friend asked me what I do for a living. I told him I’m an actor, and I’m Mithun’s son. He was very impressed. He saw my social media, and asked, ‘Bro are you friends with Orry?’”
Namashi was taken aback by the question and reflected on the effort he had put in to establish himself as an actor. He said: “I thought about all the hard work I’ve done to become a hero, the struggles I’ve had for three years in Aaram Nagar, I’m the son of such a big star, but here’s this guy who pouts and takes selfies and more people know him. I’m stressed, maybe I need to get spotted more. I want to be as famous as Orry. But in all seriousness, that’s not the kind of fame I want,”
In 2008, Namashi’s older brother, Mimoh Chakraborty, also entered the film industry with “Jimmy”. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t do well, and Mimoh’s career didn’t progress as he had hoped. His other brother, Ushmey Chakraborty, also acted in and directed a few films, but they didn’t receive much attention either.
