Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, has joined the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat, following the footsteps of Rihanna, who had earlier made a glamorous entrance at the airport. Alongside his wife, Priscilla Chan, Zuckerberg was welcomed with traditional garlands and Gujarati stoles upon their arrival. The festivities, set to begin on March 1, 2024, are expected to attract celebrities and dignitaries from around the world.
On February 29, 2024, the Jamnagar airport witnessed a flurry of celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and family, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with their daughter, and of course, Rihanna.
Mark Zuckerberg’s arrival added to the star-studded affair, as he and his wife embraced a casual attire for the occasion.
The pre-wedding events kicked off with an Anna Seva ceremony, attended by over 51,000 people in a village near Jamnagar on February 28, 2024. Radhika Merchant looked resplendent in a red suit, exuding the aura of a soon-to-be bride, while Anant Ambani complemented her in a matching sherwani with a sleeveless jacket.
The tradition of hosting Anna Seva, a charitable feast, ahead of grand weddings is a hallmark of the Ambani family, continuing the practice from previous family weddings, such as those of Isha Ambani in 2018 and Akash Ambani in 2019.
