Well, we can bet that 9 out of 10 times you opened your TV wanting to watch some movies and found that Amitabh Bachchan’s Sooryavansham was airing on Set Max. Moreover, we believe that every Indian household has watched the movie while eating their lunch and dinner or even just to pass some time either once or 100th time.
It’s been 24 years since the movie was released and yet it is still being telecasted almost every other day till now, especially on Set Max. Viewers can now recite all the dialogues from the movie without even watching it again.
While most of us wanted to take some steps regarding this, one brave man has now raised his voice against the atrocity. In a hilarious letter that has been addressed to Set Max, a man questioned the TV channel about how long they will be telecasting the movie. He wrote that it is starting to affect his mind.
The letter was written in Hindi and read,
“Nivedan hai ki aapke channel ko Sooryavansham feature film ke telecast ka theka prapt hua hai, aapki krupa se hum aur humara parivar Heera Thakur aur unke parivar (Radha, Gauri, and etc) ko aache se jaan chuke hai. Main aapke channel se yeh jaanna chahta hoon ki aapka channel ab tak kitni baar iss film ka prasaran kar chuka hai? Bhavishya mein kitni baar aur iss film aur telecast kiya jayega. Yadi humari maansik stithi pe iska viprit asar (paagalpan) aata hai. Toh iska jimmedar kaun hoga? Krupa suchna dene ka kasth kare.”

The letter roughly translated to English reads,
“Your channel has the viewing rights of the Sooryavansham feature. I and my family are well-versed with Heera Thakur and his family (Characters of the movie). I want to know how many times you have telecasted the film on your channel. Also, how many times will you telecast in the future as well? If the film affects our mental health, whom should we consider responsible? Kindly let me know.”
