Two individuals created chaos in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday by leaping from the visitors’ gallery, where they proceeded to release yellow smoke from gas canisters. The incident, captured on camera, led to panic among Members of Parliament. Both intruders have been detained, along with two protesters outside the Parliament who were carrying similar canisters emitting yellowish smoke. The detained individuals, including one identified as Sagar Sharma, will undergo interrogation by the Delhi police.
The security breach occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack. During the incident, the Lok Sabha was briefly adjourned, and MPs were evacuated.
The intruders entered using visitors’ passes, signed off by an MP’s office, which is now under investigation.
